Thông tin về một số chương trình tài trợ nghiên cứu, học bổng nghiên cứu của Chính phủ Anh

Đại sứ quán Anh xin giới thiệu một số chương trình tài trợ nghiên cứu, học bổng nghiên cứu của Chính phủ Anh dành cho các nhà khoa học, tổ chức quốc tế, trong đó có Việt Nam. I.  Chương trình fellowship đầu tiên của Royal Society chuyên dành cho ngành khoa học tự nhiên và kỹ thuật.

 

  • 1.1. The Royal Society Wolfson Fellowship, which provides up to five years and £300,000 of funding, to be used flexibly by the research fellow and as part of their start-up package. This scheme will focus entirely on recruitment, enabling UK institutions to enhance their offering with a £300,000 fellowship award to for international research leaders wishing to relocate to the UK.
  • 1.2. Visiting Fellowship strand, which allows excellent international researchers a flexible 12-month sabbatical period at a UK university or research institution with an award of up to £125,000, to build and develop international collaborations and networks.

II. Global Centre on Biodiversity for Climate (GCBC) Call 2The GCBC Research Grant Competition 2 (RGC2) is now officially open for applications! – GCBC

For this call, we are looking for project concepts with a total budget between £100k and £1m (GBP) and a duration of 12 – 36 months, commencing from November 1, 2024. There is scope for different sizes (£100k-£250k; £250k-£500k; £500-£750k; £750-£1m) depending on the type or nature of the research to be funded. This will range from the smaller desk-based and locally focused projects to larger initiatives with research replicated in different localities/ countries and upscaling/ replicating proven solutions in an innovative approach.

GCBC invites project concept submissions that focus their research at the intersection of the GCBC’s three focus areas:

  • Climate change
  • Livelihoods and poverty alleviation
  • Biodiversity

All applications are welcomed – from Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), research institutes and others.

Deadline: 17h GMT on March 17th, 2024.

III. Blue Planet Fund – OCEAN grants: https://oceangrants.org.uk/

The UK Government’s Ocean Community Empowerment and Nature (OCEAN) Grants Programme supports locally-led projects to deliver lasting change to the marine environment and coastal communities, with funding available through two different pathways:

  • Community Grants: Up to £250,000 for small-scale, local, in-country organisations. Deadline to apply: 18 March 2024
  • Partnership Grants:From £250,000 up to £3 million for organisations collaborating with locally-led groups to deliver solutions at scale. Deadline to apply: 02 April 2024

Projects can run up to 31 March 2029 and must focus on both protecting, managing, or restoring the marine environment and reducing poverty.

All applications are welcomed – from Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), research institutes and others.

Funding: £200,000 for each 18-month project. Deadline: 10 April 2024
