HEAD OF IT IN HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY
DESCRIPTION
- Build and manage the IT Department responsible for all IT-related issues for a portfolio of hotels and serviced apartments
- Design and implement the IT infrastructure architect for all buildings, including hardware and software to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of IT in supporting daily business operations
- Work closely with Property Managers to provide expert opinion on IT-related matters
- Work closely with Property Operations to define SLAs for IT and ensure such SLAs are met on a constant basis
- Supervise all daily and weekly IT procedures in the hotel
- Manage IT supervisors and clerks: assign and supervise their daily jobs, train them on all needed theoretical and practical procedures, troubleshooting and support within corporate standards.
- Ensure proper follow-up of all claims that were sent to IT Department
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure constant and effective communication for all hardware / software issues
- Document, archive all correspondence and troubleshooting, follow up suppliers’ visits and maintenance
- Develop and adapt any ideas that bring IT services to higher management
- Recover any gaps that might face IT Dept and come up with plans to advance its operations
- Assist existing/new properties when it is required
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: minimum of 5 years, with at least 2 years of which in management position in IT field within hotel operations. 2 years of which in management position
- Fluent in English
- Good knowledge in network, security, wireless and hospitality solutions and software, especially hotel management software (Opera or similar)
- Good communication skills
